4 Tips to Improve the User Experience on your Web

As you know, there are many factors to consider when designing a web. On the one hand, we have to think of the text, choosing a typeface that suits our style, and of course that has readability in places required and creativity in others. On the other hand, we have to think of the colour or colours we use and their combination. And gradually of each of the elements that make up the web: buttons, header

As you know, we have to design all these elements with reasoning, which should influence the user experience. In the end, as we always say, we are designing for others, so it is better to make their life easier. The web should be adapted to all and be easy to use. In this way, we will make different profiles to navigate without problem.

We have already talked several times about how to design different elements to have a good user experience, but today we will add some more to the list to achieve a perfect website for your users!

1. Customise your user to feel at home

This is especially useful if you have an online store. Maybe you go into a store several times but you decide not to buy but think about it. Well, I am sure if you come back in a few days and the same products appears, it turns back on you a light bulb that makes you remember why you needed and therefore you buy it.

In the end, everything that serves for a better user experience is welcome. It is also common to leave related objects to the last purchase, so you can access other objects that may complement the first. Amazon does this very well, you always have the related record products (you can even add them to buy) and ads usually come out searches.

2. Animations yes, but in perspective

We all like animations. They give dynamism and in many occasions they are fun. But this does not mean you have to go crazy. The movement must be applied in perspective.

If the animations are simple and lead to display the content and understand, there is no problem. We know that they are trend, but that does not mean there is no longer anything other than the animations!

One option if you do not want to include animations is the use of patterns, so that the web has a point of creativity but does not overload. Patterns and textures are perfect for header and will add a touch of class to your web. You can download them from a stock like these, but you can also create your own.

3. Do something that makes you different

The serial designs are boring. This does not mean you should not use templates, but you must convey your design what characterizes you and makes you unique.

If my website is exactly like yours, we can get the user to get lost and do not know where you are browsing. If, however, even using the same template we put our own illustrations or our pictures with our signature style, I am sure the users will not even able to think that we are facing the same template.

If you do not use any template and your website is customised, you have no excuse. Even if the design is highly customised, if you do not enter some characteristic details, you will miss what makes you different and will help improve the user experience.

Make a difference, because this will turn the user feel special and unique.

4. Design and understand how the web display works

When designing a website we have to think about the way in which the user will access it. We see the web by screens, i.e. the content that fits on the screen of each device; so it is very important to design thinking about this, as that is the first thing the user sees when accessing (depending on the time of the device used) and which will appear on scrolling.

It is really important to have this clear, because it totally depends on the user experience. It is not the same to see the header in full than see it in half of the content. This is really used when we talk about mobile, because we understand that the content will be in a smaller space, so if we put too much content, it can result not understand.

  1. Veronica, very good points you make in this post. I can tell you that I as a web developer I am often extremely surprised by what users actually do on sites. I guess the hardest thing to do is try to think as the user.
