SiloMag #36

A couple of weeks ago we released the spring. But it seems that everything has been a mirage! And in SiloCreativo we had to do two things. One is to take our coat back from the trunk. And the other, collect the best articles, resources and tools that we have collected during the last two weeks on graphic design, web design, and WordPress. Is not it fantastic?

And this week in SiloMag, about graphic design, a character with braille, a typeface with a geometric touch, and the identity of a London’s district. On web design, progressive apps, a new web design tool, and resource for organize your code snippets. And finally, for WordPress, a new WordPress update, JavaScript in WordPress, and how to add a chat bot in your page.

As always, we hope you like it, and you can leave us any suggestions in the comments!

Among the several tactics you can employ in this fight, asset preloading is a hot one right now. It’s a topic worth learning about in more depth yourself, but in short, preloading involves a web page starting to load a particular asset as soon as possible in the background, so it’s ready to be used when the page calls for it. Live chat is a fantastic way to engage with your users and answer any questions they might have. However, being on call 24/7 – or anything close to it – is impossible for a single person to do. Plus, sometimes you’ll need to deal with multiple requests at once, which can tank your productivity. Chat bots enable you to automate at least part of those conversations. At a bare minimum, they can save you time by weeding out queries that don’t require a person to answer them. In this article, we’ll talk about when it makes sense to use a WordPress chat bot and how to add one to your website in three steps.
