May is one of the most special months for me. We are already in spring, we can enjoy the long days without the heat forcing us to be at home. This month we go to Casablanca and see the Hassan II Mosque over the sea.
Typographic combination
This month the font chosen is the Schibsted Grotesk, a Google Font with 12 styles within the same family, perfect for editorial projects due to its high legibility.
Color scheme
We wanted to find a cozy atmosphere in which we felt fully relaxed. For this we combine green with pink on the earthy tones of the mosque.

We are in spring! In the field, the earth tones have disappeared and, from now, green is complemented by the colour of flowers. The sun is with us and even the tigers have come down to the shore to enjoy the sun’s rays.
Little by little more flowers are born and, at the end of the month, everything will be colourful thanks to them.
Font combination
For the numbers, the chosen one is a Google Font, the Blinker, with 7 styles within the same family. Its characters are very clear, being a fairly thick font. We contrasted it with the Attractype Reborn, a handwritten font with more creative characters.
Colour combination
As we have been saying, this month the predominant colour is green. Something brown remains, but it is only an old memory of winter. Little by little there will be many flowers and the colour palette will increase.

With May comes one of the most special months for Silo Creativo. We add another year and there are already 7! Thank you very much to those who started with us, those who have just met us and those who have accompanied us at one time or another of these 7 years … for being with us all these years!
So, since May is a month of celebrations, let’s enjoy it and take advantage of each of the days it offers! And for this, we are going to dedicate this month to our friends the cats, but not to anybody, but to a very special one that even being at a distance makes us bad days bearable. It’s for you, Papú!
In addition, May is already the month of spring par excellence so it is time to take advantage of what this means: sun and good weather that we hope will accompany us.

Font combination
For the font of the numbers we opted for a Google Font, the Heebo, a sans serif with 7 types within the same family that allow us to combine it perfectly. For the name of the month we used a font known to us, the Classical, free download.
Colour combination
We wanted to make a combination of colours in which none of them predominates, but that would get an illustration that would transport us to a festive atmosphere that at the same time is calm and relaxed.

As we said last year, May is the month of flowers. The countryside is greener, the flowers brighter and everything looks cleaner. In addition we start to think about June and therefore, the summer.
However, not only the field is preparing for the arrival of summer, but the sea, in its own way, also begins to flourish. From June we will enjoy it on its surface, but in May, we will see how spring also starts “modifying” marine blood.
Font Combination
For the title, in this case we wanted to use one of the creative Google fonts that we talked about in this article, the Barrio. It is free and very simple to download from the web of Google Font. Its casual air goes very much in line with the marine environment.
On the other hand, for the font of the days of the week, we return to one of our favorite Google Font, the Montserrat. With this font we combine its two styles for numbers and text.
Colour Combination
Since we are in a marine environment, the predominant colours are green and blue in different shades. At the same time to give a touch of contrast we have included some warm colours like orange and brown, without wanting to focus on those points but serving to remove coldness to the illustration.
We wanted to transmit a marine atmosphere without losing the warmth of who is at home.

Everybody knows that May is the month of flowers. It is spring time from a few months ago, but thanks to the April rains, the flowers are in their splendor and nature, so May is one of their most beautiful moments. With June and with the heat, the flowers will dry, but while we enjoy them.
So, this month is dedicated to flowers, to join us and brighten our days giving a little more colour to our day to day life.
Colour combination
In this case we have opted for a combination of spring colours. It is perhaps one of the most colorful calendars I have done, but the flowers are, so it is difficult to have two flowers of the same colour! Overall we have violet and pink tones, accompanied by blue and orange. Of course Green could not miss.
As you can see we use almost all colours, with mostly neutral tones and introducing shine in some of them.
Font combination
You know that when we combine fonts we like to use a more creative for titles and one in which prime readability for paragraph text. Well, in the case of downloadable calendars, we usually follow the same rule differentiating the name of the month and the days of the week.
So, for the month of May, we have chosen a font for the title with a more creative character and a lettering style, Amelia. This is not free to download, but you can usually find it in pack of fonts. As you know, although free fonts and especially Google Fonts are really good, it is also a good idea to have premium fonts, which we know will be less exploited and will give us something more exclusive.
For the month days, we have chosen a Google Font that we saw recently in the blog and that is perfect for text paragraph, Catamaran.

Who cannot like May? Spring is already here and hot is arriving; days are longer and June is so close that we can see the beginning of summer, which makes the month pass quickly.
But sometimes, meanwhile, black clouds appear. Luckily we have seen a donkey flying that will make them disappear. Because we all have ever seen a donkey flying just when we needed it… 😉

It’s May, the good weather has come (so far). On sunny days, what I want is to go on a picnic with the friendly little soft drink.
